Built in Anaheim, to the Sixteenth of an Inch
Some jobs can't be refaced. The wall is bowed, the ceiling is nine feet, the 1950s boxes are held together by paint and optimism, or you simply want the pantry your house never had. That's when the job moves into our shop.
We build face-frame and frameless (European) cabinets in maple, oak, cherry, alder and paint-grade birch. Boxes are 3/4" plywood — not particleboard — with dovetailed drawers and Blum soft-close hardware throughout. It's the same construction we'd want in our own kitchens, because it is what's in our own kitchens.
Popular Custom Projects
- Walk-in and reach-in pantries — the single most requested project since 2014
- Kitchen islands — with seating overhangs, drawer microwaves, wine storage
- Built-in entertainment centers and fireplace surrounds
- Home office built-ins — desks, file drawers, bookcases
- Garage cabinet systems — yes, plywood there too; particleboard sags in garages
- Bathroom vanities in widths the big-box stores don't make
How Custom Work Runs
- Measure & design. We laser-measure and draw the job in CAD. You see it before we cut anything.
- Build. Typically 3–4 weeks in the shop, depending on finish. Painted finishes take longest — worth it.
- Install. Two days to a week. We scribe to your actual walls, which are never straight, and that's fine.
A note on lead times: we're honest about them. Spring is our busy season and the calendar fills 5–6 weeks out. If someone quotes you custom cabinets "next week," ask what they're building them from.
